Afghanistan - March 11, 2010

Chemonics seeks a sector specialist to lead the business development component of an ongoing USAID-funded project focused on stabilizing violence-prone areas of Afghanistan through the administration of a grants-under-contract program. Responsibilities include: identify grantees and develop business development services grants, conduct business training, facilitate connections between beneficiaries and follow-on funding for activities, and perform other tasks assigned by the chief of party or deputy chief of party on an ad-hoc basis.

 Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and work experience in a relevant area
  • Minimum five years of project design or management experience in competitiveness and enterprise development programs
